Saitozaki Station

Saitozaki Station (西戸崎駅, Saitozaki-eki^?) is a train station in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu).

It is the northern terminus of the Kashii Line.

History

• January 1, 1904: Opened as station of the Hakatawan Railway (now Kashii Line).
• September 19, 1942: Hakatawan Railway and Steamship and Chikuzen-Sangu Railway is merged in Nishi-Nippon Railroad (merger time, Kyushu electricity orbit) and unify the stations on both lines. But distance of both station not changed.
• May 1, 1944: Both lines of this station under state control.
• April 1, 1987: Following privatisation of JNR it came under the control of JR Kyushu.
